Hey Native high school students. Are you ready to kickstart your future in healthcare? At Ellsworth Solutions LLC we are excited to share an incredible opportunity that can launch your career in health. This summer, you could explore Washington, DC, through the prestigious 21st National Native American Youth Initiative. Do not wait because time is running out to apply.

The 21st National Native American Youth Initiative is a life-changing experience created especially for American Indian and Alaska Native students who are passionate about health sciences and biomedical research. It will run from June 21 to 29, 2025, in Washington, DC.

You will experience interactive lectures and workshops that explain various health professions and provide guidance on college and medical school admissions. You will also learn practical financial aid tips and gain insight into the health challenges facing Native communities. In addition, there will be opportunities to meet AI/AN doctors and mentors who will share their expertise and passion.

Fully Funded Experience

This program offers a fully funded experience. Airfare is covered, lodging is provided and most meals are taken care of so you can focus on learning and growing. It is designed to help you explore different health careers and build a network of professionals who understand your background and goals.

The program is open to American Indian and Alaska Native high school students between the ages of 16 and 18 who have strong academic records and leadership skills. If you are enthusiastic about health sciences or biomedical research and you are eager to make a difference in your community, this opportunity is for those Indigenous Youth.

To apply you must complete a few important steps. First fill out the Primary Data Sheet in full. Write a one-page, double-spaced Personal Statement that shares your background and your goals and explains why this program is important to you. Submit your latest official transcript and include a recommendation letter along with a checklist from a counselor or teacher. Provide a photo for your identification and publication and include a document that proves your Native heritage such as a tribal enrollment card, certificate of Indian blood (CIB) or an official letter.

The Deadline is April 11, 2025

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 11, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed, so complete everything on time. You will hear back about your application by May 5, 2025.
