The Tribal Public Health Conference (TPHC) 2026 is the gathering every professional in Indian Country needs to attend this spring.

Three Days of Workshops Built for Indian Country

Presented by Humana and hosted at the Oklahoma City Convention Center from April 7–9, 2026, TPHC 2026 brings together Native practitioners, tribal epidemiologists, Indian Health Service leaders, and public health professionals for three full days across multiple tracks including Culturally Adapted Public Health, Data and Epidemiology, Intergenerational Health, and Environmental Health and Emergency Management. Keynote speakers include Dr. Brian Hui of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and Dr. Keley Booth, President and Founder of Elite Pain and Health, presenting “Tribal Healthcare: Blueprint for the Future of America’s Healthcare.” General admission is just $120 through Whova registration, and the Sheraton hotel block cutoff is March 30, so act now!

Sessions That Serve Our Relatives and Elders

The Southern Plains Tribal Health Board (SPTHB), the driving force behind TPHC, has staff presenting across nearly every track — from data epidemiology and culturally adapted public health to environmental health and substance use prevention.

Standout sessions address critical priorities for Native populations, from integrating traditional healing practices into clinical patient care at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic, to leveraging AI in emergency planning and mitigation for tribal communities, to digital heart health innovation through Hello Heart and IHS Director Roselyn Tso — addressing the reality that Native Americans are 50% more likely to be diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. Attendees can also engage with live podcast interviews on “The Future of Tribal Healthcare: What’s Working and What’s Next,” micro-education strategies for growing culturally competent care providers through CHAP, and daily Wellbriety Talking Circles grounding Our Relatives in holistic healing of mind, body, and spirit.

Culturally Grounded Care Starts With Showing Up

The 2026 theme, “The Vision for Generational Healing, Health, and Wellness,” centers culture awareness, intergenerational approaches, and Indigenous-led systems of care. As a Native owned small business and ISBEE-certified medical staffing partner serving IHS facilities and tribal health programs, Ellsworth encourages every professional committed to Native health across Indian Country to invest in this conference.
